Panasonic is going to begin selling a 103 inch, $80,000 TV...plus installation cost!
| Quote: | BERLIN (Reuters) - Panasonic said on Thursday it would start selling the world's largest television set, featuring a 103-inch (262-centimetre) screen, for $80,000.
"That's before installation cost," said a Panasonic spokesman at the IFA consumer electronics fair here.
Panasonic is the main brand name for products of Japanese electronics giant Matsushita.
The set is five inches thick.

My bad...
http://go.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=technologyNews&storyID=13353026&src=rss/technologyNews
They don't say whether it's LCD, Plasma, DLP, etc. It doesn't look like projection in the pic. My guess is that it's either Plasma or DLP. I don't believe they're able to get LCD that big yet, but who knows. Panasonic is a king in the Plasma space, so that would make sense.
I added the Reuters text to my post. _________________

If I was going to drop 80 G's on a TV, it better have a smell-o-vision feature. _________________

It doesn't look too wall-mountable to me. I think it's too big...well, no, it's just too expensive. I would never pay over $68k for a tv. _________________
