As I have hinted, and updated my sig, I guess I should post about it. On Tuesday, I traded in my Audi A4 and picked up a 2006 Subaru WRX TR. A kid traded it in where I work with only 12.5K mi on the clock! I nabbed it, and of course I got a great deal, as I pay $200 over what the dealer owns it for. I only have a few awful pics, so I am sure to take a butt load more while I wash it and move all the "stuff" I had in the A4 to this new rig.

lol, actually It sat there for 70 days on our lot before I bought it, no one even test drove it! It only had 20 miles added on since the window sticker was put on, and I think I went to pick up pizza one day. I think they were looking to get too much profit on it (too high of an asking price). _________________

Of Course! I just didn't think I could afford it. I still feel bad about stretching the payments to 72 months, but then again I am not upside down bacause of the paid off A4 trade in and I guess I can "refinance" if I scored a new job. people have also said you can overpay the payments, and there is no finish early penalty. Plus with only 12K, it is like it is a new car. I know I will enjoy having this around for 4 or 5 years anyhow, I did keep the A4 for more than 4 years... _________________

Can't say I'm feeling the paint colour scheme. May be another reason it wasn't snatched up.
Hope you did a better than normal inspection. I'd be awfully suspicious of a kid trading in a powerful car like that so quickly. Lord knows how they drove it. |

Who cares how the car was being driven, its a WRX , its built to be driven hard . plus the car is still under warranty . _________________

| Wha? They're not built THAT well. I'm envisioning a 19-yr old riding the clutch like a racehorse and trying to tear the tranny apart with constant launches, an improper break-in, no fluid checks or changes EVER, etc... Even if it's under warranty, there's a point at which they'll start harrassing you, and also the downtime to consider. |

The Salesperson who took it in trade said the 22 YO traded it in for a 2004 Ford F250 Super duty, a job related situation. All other fluids looked fine and these are the original tires, which look impeccable, but Merchants does an oil change on every vehicle before it goes out on lot. I have his name and phone number (and the ok to contact him), as the salesperson just happened to mention that an employee picked up the car when calling the kid on his "routine follow-up". I could even call him up to see if he kept any records.
Oh and I like this color, I wish it was less tan and more "Dolphin Gray" but it hides the dirt very well, and the lighter parts of the interrior are not that bright, it photographs like that tho. It is a dark gray with black inserts. _________________

Sounds like you've got the best situation then. Hopefully it's just a fickle kid that couldn't decide between that and a truck (or needed it).
Stef, I'm ALWAYS cheery and positive... |

I like the color because it's so different than all the other WRX's. All I ever see is the blue, black... usual colors... this makes you stand out, and we all know it's going to be even cooler as you make it your own!!! _________________
