My affair with VW started way back in 1999 with a 1995 2.slow MK3 Jetta. We had just found out my wife was pregnant again so we needed a "family" car but neither of us wanted a big boat of a car. The Passat was new at the time and was our first choice, but we were on a budget.

Fast forward to 2003. I had just gotten to my first base and I decided to treat myself to the car I'd lusted after for 4 years, a 1999 V6 Tip Passat GLS. The modding came fast and furious. Then at the car's peak, we made a trip to Disneyland. A statue I'd bought wouldn't fit through the trunk opening and that was the it. I NEEDED a Variant.

Two months later, she was mine. Gleaming in Stonehenge Gray there she was. A 2004.5 GLS 1.8T manual Variant. I think I had the car for a month before I dropped it and put the first set of rims on. From there I decided to follow a slightly different path with my modding than most have and you guys have been there with me every step of the way to witness every change, including the ones that didn't work out, like the Illuminatis.

I'd like to thank Bryan and everyone here for all the support and encouragement. It was the VW community as a whole that kept me in the fold when I was tempted by another.
