I wish to thank the staff for choosing my car to be featured this month. I love the attention and so will my kids when I send them a link! The journey with VW started a long time ago with a Rabbit, and I have always looked first to see if a VW was available, although I have owned a Chevy and a few Fords. In October of '04 we were looking to replace my B3 Passat. That car was something special, with a G60 supercharged 1.8L motor and 4 wheel drive. I stopped at my favorite used car dealer and spotted her right away. Silver, 4 doors and a lot of leather! I was hooked before driving her.

The mods have been few and far between, the first being a set of Angel Eyes, the stock headlights just didn't cut it. Blackened turn signals and a shorty antenna followed closely behind.

This past summer, when I found myself alone, I bought a nice set of rims and tires, along with a JOM badgeless grille. I also removed the CD player and plugged in A BlitzSafe iPod connection, which has worked flawlessly. I have also installed a B&M short shift kit and K&N air filter along the way. The list of things I would like is long, but after redoing the head gaskets, I will wait for just a little while longer to buy anything else!

The car is sedate and she will travel down the road with out attracting any attention. The minor cosmetic changes I have made dont scream out, "look at me!" Instead they give an air of understatement. There are quiet a few drivers who have been surprised to see her get up and go, so to speak!

Besides the intermittant CEL's and yet unrepaired ABS system, I still love this car. For me, every time I sit down to drive her, " Drivers Wanted" always flashes across my mind. Isn't that what its all about?
